|The Ed Gowdy Fund||Donate||
As you all know, our friend and brother Ed Gowdy always had a passion for the outdoors, the arts, horticulture and, of course, having a damn good time. In his memory, AJ Gowdy, Quinn Crist-Fulk, David Richter, and I recently established The Ed Gowdy Fund to memorialize Ed and celebrate his passions.
The Ed Gowdy Fund is a donor advised fund (DAF) implemented through Impact Charitable. A DAF allows donors to make a charitable contribution and receive an immediate tax benefit. Then, the trustees of the fund can distribute grants from the fund to selected non-profit projects over time. Impact Charitable will invest most of the money we contribute in impact related initiatives and leave a portion liquid (not invested) at our request to make grants. Over time, the fund and the amount available to grant out will grow.
We are raising donations to make this baby grow. When the fund has grown sufficiently large, AJ, Quinn, Dave and I, as trustees, will, with your input, select charitable causes to donate to that we believe fall in line with Ed's passions for the outdoors, the arts, horticulture and, of course, having a damn good time.
|Giving Chai Fund||Donate||
In lieu of gifts for our wedding, we are requesting all guests to make a donation to help us launch our Donor Advised Fund (DAF), the "Giving Chai Fund". Giving back to our community has always been important to us individually and we are excited to start a new chapter of charitable giving together. Our areas of interest: Education, Global Entrepreneurship, Health and Human Services, Jewish Community, Progressive Public Policy and Social Justice, Underrepresented Groups, Women and Girls
Canta's mission is to support and invest in research and innovation in childhood genetics and integrative treatments, and to defend and protect medical freedoms.
As many of you know, little Atlas Murphy was recently diagnosed with a rare genetic and terminal brain condition called Alexander's Disease. True to his namesake, Atlas has held the world on his shoulders. He has endured brain hemorrhages, emergency brain surgery and hydrocephalus during his short life. Through it all, Atlas has inspired all who know him with his strength, joy, and smiles. There is a new drug in preclinical trials that may be a 'miracle cure' for Atlas and other children with genetic brain disorders, but more research and funding are desperately needed. We're on a mission to do everything possible—as safely as possible—to help Atlas and other sick children before it's too late. That's where you (and your treasure) come into play.
To best pursue our mission, we've established a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) through Impact Charitable (a 501c3). On this page you can make a donation to the Canta Fund and receive an immediate tax benefit. Under Canta's innovative model, our advisors and trustees then work to analyze, distribute and invest your donated capital through a unique combination of grants and private impact investments. Over time, the available capital to make grants and investments will grow and so will our collective impact. We appreciate whatever you choose to donate and invest with Canta—for medical freedom and to help sick children counting on us to help them.

We are partnering with trusted nonprofits in Colorado already serving those communities to identify families in need and maintain long term relationships with recipients. Donations to this fund will benefit workers across the State of Colorado.|
